2025 EVENTS
Stephany Castillo and Venezia Lugo two students from Porter High School who are members of the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE), needed to do a community service project. They learned that the Friendship of Women organization needed blankets, jackets, and personal hygiene items. They contacted us and our chapter was happy to donate these items. We joined them on a shopping trip to Walmart to purchase the items. They personally delivered the items to the Friendship of Women.

Several members rode with the Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A) motorcycle club. The chapter was able to give little donation to help for the cause.

Cadet Rigoberto Sandoval was the fortunate recipient of the first ($500.00) scholarship of the year, Robert "Ghost" Mora Cadet Scholarship. We extend our best wishes for his future in Law Enforcement.

Congratulations to Cadet Claudia Longoria and Cadet Juan Fuentes on receiving the second scholarship of the year. Thanks to a generous donation we were able to give two Robert "Ghost" Mora Cadet Scholarships. Each cadet received ($500.00)

For the 3rd consecutive year we assisted the Ride for Rotary bicycles riders. We provided assistance to the riders that needed help and made sure they made it to their destination safely.

Members showed the support to the Friendship of Women at their Domestic Violence Awareness event.

Members were also present at the REMEMBER MY NAME VIGIL, in recognition of the numerous women who have lost their lives due to family violence.

Members participated in the Boo at the Zoo event. It's always rewarding to give back to children and seeing their smiles after receiving candy.

In recognition of National Bus Safety Week, several members paid a visit to our Brother Alberto" Flip" Alvear at his workplace and we were given the chance to ride along. We appreciate Idea School for extending an invitation to us.

The Blue Knights, Lady Knights and Lil' Knights, served a turkey dinner to around 50 students involved in the Youth Connection Project, an initiative that supports homeless youth. We are grateful for the support of Ms. Diana E. Clough in coordinating this event, as well as the generous donations from Desperado Harley Davidson and Ruth Jara from Elite Rehab, who also assisted serving the students.

Two trucks were filled with toys and distributed to various neighborhoods outside the city of Los Fresnos, bringing joy and smiles to numerous children who eagerly requested photographs with Blue Santa and the Grinch. Following the toy distribution we visited Driscoll's Hospital and donated toys for children receiving care. A subsequent visit was made to Sunny Glen Children's Home where toys were delivered and a small monetary donation was present. We would like to thank everyone who donated a toy or made a monetary donation to make this possible.
